Recently I have had the pleasure of taking two wonderful workshops. Dayle Doroshow opened my world to a new freedom with polymer clay. Check her out.
Cindy Moore from Georgia and Arizona, actually she seems to travel all over the place, gave a great cold connection workshop at Brighton Beads in Brighton, Michigan. What fun we had reshaping pennies and dimes into fabulous beads!

Georgeann (Georgie) Galante was born in Brooklyn, New York and spent some of her teen years in Queens. Exposure to music and the arts were part of growing up in an Italian family. She attended dance school for nine years, studying modern ballet and tap.

After graduation she moved to Puerto Rico where she co-owned an import record store. Then a move to Southern California in the early seventies sparked the beginning of a 24 year career in the music business. Her resume includes working at National Tape and Record (distributor), office manager of Pzazz Records, and RCA Records where she worked in radio promotion, and was their industry trade liaison. This also included work in artist relations with recording artists such as Hall & Oates, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, The Kinks, Dolly Parton, Waylon Jennings, Ronnie Milsap to name a few. The music business brought her to Nashville, Tennessee in 1978. She continued her work in promotion and with Dolly, Waylon and Milsap. She also worked closely with Alabama, The Judds, Vince Gill, and Steve Wariner. After working independent marketing for RCA Records, Conway Twitty and some independent labels, Georgie began managing Earl Thomas Conley (1982-1985)  the Bellamy Brothers (1984-1987) and Anthony Crawford (1984-1988). She also managed Keith Christopher (1985) and Joy White (1988-1989).

Georgie met her husband and moved to Michigan eighteen years ago. While managing his podiatry practice, she also started a music publishing company for a small independent promotion company in Ann Arbor.

Away from the business of music and medicine, Georgie is now concentrating in the arts. She holds a photography degree and has been certified in metal clay and polymer clay. At the present time she is pursuing a BA in art history. The rest of her time is spent with her animals and her hobbies (knitting, crocheting, and reading) and, of course, teaching and studying her crafts.
