Metal Clay Mojo Retreat

Last weekend Lis-el Crowley hosted her bi-annual event "Metal Clay Mojo Retreat" held in Chester, CT. A wonderful time was had by all - not only enjoying the gorgeous surroundings, but the pre- and post-workshops and all the information shared in-between.

Presentations were given by Terry Kovalcik, Dona Penoyer, Barbara Becker Simon, Janet Eskridge, just to name a few. Information overload!

The next Mojo is schedule for August 2017. I've already put in my bid for a single room - hopefully I'll get the same one, which was perfect.

By the way, I think the food was pretty good too. Three meals a day and something for everyone - no packaged foods or canned. Soups made from scratch, wonderful desserts.

What did I learn? Terry demonstrated his technique for building with metal clay pastes, Janet E. shared her findings on the many varieties of patina, B.B. Simon showed us the way with glass and metal, Dona explored movement, Lis-el demoed PPP and Scratchfoam. There was also a demo on 3D printing. I am barely touching the surface, so much more. Grab bags, wonderful door prizes. Great time, great people.
