Torch Fire Enameling with Anne Havel

This past October (2016) I drove to Grand Haven, Michigan for a workshop on torch firing enameling. There are many classes and workshops available, in person or online, but it was Anne Havel's work that made me want to attend this particular workshop to study this particular style of enameling.

And, yes, you can learn to scratch into enamel, draw on it with picks, sgraffito, graphite drawings, sugar finishing just about anywhere, but Anne might not be there.

Anne's former CPA life keeps her thinking in numbers. She'll tell you that she knows her enamels by numbers instead of the color name. She is engaging, generous, energetic and amazing.
